I really don't think so. While 4 million in japan is my prediction too, in the west I think it'll not be even close to what the last one did - which is a shame. Market changed a lot imo.
Maybe the only way to thrive sales would be for next gen to go for the GB/GBA route... weak hardware... but for 69.99. I'm looking at an ad here, GBA in 2003 was 59.99... crazy.
