The device is cool and all but the yellowish screens bother me. I heard its glue that didnt have time to dry but Im not so sure if thats really the case but who am I to know lol. (The first batch of 3ds's back in 2011 had no yellow screens but this might really be because Nintendo produced a ton of those so the 3ds start would have enough hardware. Most 3ds units back then were stored for months before being bought by someone. Newer 3ds consoles are manufactured and at max stored for some weeks and then hit shelves. So it really might be a glue issue I really hope it is)

Yellowish tint screen is what scares me the most of the 3DS XL but after looking at a few forums it seems that supposedly it goes away after awhile or is less noticeable. Most people seeem to believe it is the glue not being dried enough. I'll just wait till next year probably anyways to get an XL since I have to focus on the Wii U that is coming out. My reg 3DS will have to hold me till then.

Yeah, there is a very slight yellow tint to the screen, but it's honestly something that isn't worth being concerned over. I'm kinda a videophile myself, and I've just accepted that if I'm looking for prestine image quality that I'm not gonna find it on the 3DS.

Perhaps it has something to do with the new no reflective layer tech they using on top rather than glue not drying? the trade off being a slight tinge over reflections.
