Stinky games like Resistence 3, Infamous 1&2 and Spec Ops are there but no Skyrim, Oblivion, Assassin's Creed II, Dragon Age, Dark Souls or Demon's Souls? lol this list is weak.

Frankly, Assassin's Creed II, Skyrim, & Oblivion were much better on other platforms. To you, Resistance and inFAMOUS aren't good franchises, but they help shape what the PS3 is all about.

If we used your list of mainly multiplatform titles, I'd feel like there'd be no reason to invest in a PS3 at all.

You bring up an interesting point. These top lists usually are a bit skewed in favor of exclusive games and I think the reason is what you said - they want to represent what that console is about. It's a compromise - do we just put our top games no matter if they're exclusive or not, or do we favor exclusives a bit to define a console?

That's why I believe IGN's Top 25 X360 list will include games like Fable 2, Lost Odyssey and Crackdown. Not because these games really deserve to be in a Top 25 in competition with all the great multiplats, but because IGN wants to have them to represent and define the X360.

That's kinda why I hate these lists because for the reader it's hard to determine how they decided their bias (or if they even did, sometimes it happens unconsciously).

My firm opinion is that multiplatform games is where it's at. Multiplatforms simply rule, for me personally. But: I am still all for exclusives, all for separate platforms. They have their place and they're very important. They are the main reason for why you chose a specific console and the incentive to getting a second or third console

But me personally, I don't demand exclusives to be "the best of the best". The incentive for me is that they are good enough for me wanting to experience them. The reason I got a PS3 was because I wanted Demon's Souls, God of War and Uncharted (because everyone was raving about how good it was) no matter if they would end up in a Top 20 list or not. And I don't think Zombi U, P-100 and Pikmin have any chance at being better than say, Assassin's Creed 3, Dishonored or Bioshock Infinity, but they still seem good enough that I would find it worth it to invest in a Wii U.
