Indeed by now they are probably holding off until the WiiU Virtual Console is in full swing, before releasing any more high profile games on it.
Anyway this never really mattered to me. I still have all the consoles I've ever bought (or got, because usually I was too young to buy myself) and most of the games. All nicely sitting on my shelves.
If I want to play Starwing or Yoshi's Island, I'll just get out my SNES controller. But okay, not everyone is so fortunate.
On a side-note, Yoshi's Island is one of the most brilliant games I've ever played. Everything from gameplay to graphics to sound design is basically perfect. It's definitely underrated and overlooked.
