I would say it might not be a great time for either of you to be dating someone seriously. In his case, would you say that someone who can do that type of thing is really mature enough right now to be responsible to a wife or children? In your case, being new to an area with few friends makes you vulnerable and dependent. In other words, you're more easy to take advantage of right now. I would suggest slowing things down and focusing on establishing other aspects of your life right now so that you feel solid on your own. The more options you have, the easier it will be to make good decisions.
