A typical development cycle of a game is 2 years. You can't stop a game that it's going to launch in three months, but you can stop developing future games if the sales are abysmal, as they are. The number of games in the next months is not the problem, the problem is the games in one-two years.

In ways the PS-Vita's greatest strength (its similar graphical capabilities to HD consoles) is also one of its greatest weaknesses ...

A project being delayed 6 months to be re-designed and released on the PS3, XBox 360 and/or Wii U would certainly be possible on a large portion of the PS-Vita's exclusive games; and this would certainly hurt the PS-Vita even if the games are still released on it.
