I think it needs games that are somewhere in between Collectathon and RPG. These have proven time and time again to be the most popular types of portable games. My favorite games to play on GBA has always been Pokemon, Megaman Battle Networks, and FF Tactics Advanced. So Sony needs to really tap into their connections and make those happen for Vita(bar the exclusives of course).
-Would really like to see FF Tactics 2 finally release exclusively on Vita. Hopefully it will be more like Advance because it had a far superior battle system. The Laws were a great twist to combat I think, the story was light hearted and whimsical like a Ghibli flick, and I could actually see my enemies and surroundings BEFORE I chose my party (ARGH!!!). I hated that FFT WOTL scaled enemies to you. I like being an overwhelming force in SRPGs. They can make the story and theme serious like in WOTL tho, that was great. Maybe 3D sprites this time ala Jeanne D'Arc(underrated PSP Gem).
-Pokemon is a NIN IP so this won't be jumping ship anytime soon. I wouldn't mind a rip-off at all though. NiNoKuni looks just right to fit that mold. They should most assuredly bring the series to Vita. I can see the premise now.... Each game starts with a new kid being sucked into that same world for one reason or another. He/She will use the familiars to help solve some riddle in the story. Perfect Recipe :)
-and the king of Collectathons is obviously MH. Yet Sony needs one that is exclusive to them and won't stab them in the back like Capcom. Preferably a game with a few more RPG elements mixed in, at least levels and perks of some sort. God Eater was pretty well recieved. Soul Sacrifice might be their winning ticket in this department too.
