Best way to buy Western/localised Japanese games in Japan?

Seriously, not sure. You still have your PAL consoles? For many of the games you might be able to get the DD version, but that depends on the game. For me, for instance, i'm entertaining the option of going to teach English in Japan if i can't get work in this country, and Nintendo's pledge for day-one DD version of retail games means i would just need a big ol' harddrive.

Edit: and an American credit card. That would be the barrier to that plan, is that you'd need an in-region credit card or access to one to buy the downloadable versions.
