It took me ten stores to find a ds today and antoher 5 to find a copy of animal crossing. That said I think it will take a ds2 to start come before we see the ds sales fall at all. I could easily imagine a ds2 with the same cartridge slot, no gba slot and gamecube level tech built on the same chips. I don't think it will be revolutionary in change this time so people don't feel left out. I expect 1-2 gb of memory built in.
Major advantage will be wii integration(think chanells miis, etc.), downloadable vc titles. Just enhancements.
I guess price will be $149, ds lite down to $99
Final* Word on Game Delays:
The game will not be any better or include more content then planned. Any commnets that say so are just PR hogwash to make you feel better for having to wait.
Delays are due to lack of proper resources, skill, or adequate planning by the developer.
Do be thankful that they have enough respect for you to delay the game and maintain its intended level of quality.
