Why is a price drop so suddenly frowned upon like it's a bad thing? For the record, Nintendo was in A LOT better position to take a lose on a price drop than Sony is - which is probably the only reason why Sony haven't dropped the price of the Vita yet. Are these "panic" bundles then? Cause the Sony is in a worst position with the Vita than Nintendo ever was with the 3DS. |
I think Nintendo's price cut was 'panic' price cut. They are king of handhelds for generations, they did not need to reduce the price to sustain loss. They could just rely on $150 million DS fanbase alone. They did that only to save themselves from $250 vita price.
Sony always does bundles, it's nothing new. I don't think they are 'panic' bundles. The panic would be to cut the price and sustain loss on every Vita sold.
