Now assume they could. They beef up everything by a further 40%
1. It looses money for Nintendo as most likley the price they wanintg means console sold at a loss.
2. It is not guranteed that Microsoft and Sony will not blast them out of the water anyway. The reason for this is because their weakness here is launching early. Who is to stop the competition from buying the console, ripping it apart and going hmm they got X Y and Z therefore we going to go all out just to create a bigger gap than Nintendo calculated. As I said in another thread it is a dog chasing it's own tail.
