I personally enjoyed Uncharted 1 more than Uncharted 2 as well. Uncharted 1 felt more game-y (which I personally like - I don't know how to describe what I mean by game-y... I guess less cinematic? less of an "experience" and more of a game) and the difficulty was higher IMO (I beat 2 on the hardest difficulty with no sweat besides the final boss and the train guy). I also preferred the story of 1 as CGI already mentioned.

Isn't that because it was a bit 1 dimensional? It had next to no tactical stealth and just presented waves of enemies in each area. When Uncharted 2 added stealth and didn't reduce every fight to numerous waves of soldiers, the new tactical options meant new options. When utilised it comes off as easier. To be honest I see that as a one up for Uncharted 2.
