3DS will move big numbers anyway. I see Paper Mario as just satiating 1 million or so 3DS owners who are waiting for Luigi's Mansion and/or Wii U. You're right though, historically, it doesn't seem like Paper Mario has ever been a reliable hardware-seller, but then again the last time a Paper Mario came out during the holidays was eight years ago, so who knows, it could have gained a bigger following since then.
