What are the flaws of your preferred platform?

Speak with your wallet then, don't buy these games. Buy more creative ones, buy games that were huge risks for their publishers. The more we see these risks pay off the more risks we'll see publishers take.

I guess you can't really do this, because you write about games professionally and you always need to be in the know of the top AAA titles and maybe review them, but others with similar opinions should do this. 

oh I totally vote with my wallet...I often buy games that I RESPECT even if I don't LIKE them just to encourage developers to make more unique gaming experiences.
