1. So... it's also running beautifully on 360 and it will run beautifully on WiiU, what's your point? And what makes you think we will see the toad rendering on PS4/x720? Looking at the leaked specs I am not sure if we will see it even on the x720/PS4, not with all those details and dynamic enviroment.

Yes we don't know, it most likely will.

2. Epic don't want to support Android, but now Gameloft is developing an UE3 game for Android and Iphone, it doesn't really matter if Epic doesn't want to do that, really. Epic also had no intention of supporting the Wii at all, but there is some UE2 games on the Wii. It's up to developers, if they want to port the games, they will do it. Ubisoft already said it costs around 1~2M to port games for the WiiU and they can easily have a good revenue with just 200~300k copies sold, that's how multiplatforms survives on PC. Games will become more expensive to develop, don't you think developers will make anything to have more money?

"The third and current generation of the Unreal Engine (UE3) is designed for DirectX (versions 9-11 for Windows and Xbox 360), as well as systems using OpenGL, including the PlayStation 3, Mac OS X, iOS, Android..." - Wikipedia, Unrealtechnology.com as source.

Notice the Android platform that it's running on.  And Epic has stated they're not porting Unreal 4 to the Wii U.

3. Not really an issue. It won't be able to be as powerful as x720 or even PS4 (which looks weaker than x720 so far, but most of the ram on the x720 is focused on multimedia/Windows 8), but then, PS2 wasn't as powerful as xbox1 (xbox1 is probably 3~4x more powerful than ps2 lol). If the WiiU can have ports and make money, there won't be any problems.

Again I know Nintendo is making the most balanced machine that they can make, I'm not knocking the hardware.

Initially, Epic had no intention of bringing UE3 for android, but they said Android could handle the engine and it was up to developers to develop the games using it:

http://www.droidgamers.com/index.php/game-news/android-game-news/1454-unreal-engine-still-not-supporting-android-officially-doesnt-mean-you-cant-make-games-with-it-though

Then Gameloft started to develop UE3 games for Android.

WiiU is in the same situation: Epic doesn't want to support it, but the system can handle it and if developers want to use it to develop their games there is nothing to stop them. If Ubisoft (example) buys the license they will be able to use the UE4 license to develop for all the three next gen consoles without any problems.

Actually, there is nothing really impressive about this new engine (imo), the most impressive aspect is that it will be much faster to develop your games.

The most impressive engine (again, my opinion) is Cryengine. Looking at the leaked specs, I don't think we will have a big jump (I will give you a link showing that you shouldn't expect another "wii situation"), Epic is hyping everyone just to sell their engine, they know most developers are just creating their on engine now (DICE, Square Enix, Ubisoft etc).

-EDIT-

Here:

Wii was using very outdated tech at launch and it had no HD resolution. Now, the WiiU will be using updated tech. It won't be as powerful as x720 or PS4 but we won't see another "Wii situation" again. Now we just need third party sales.

The only thing worrying me is the new info about the ram but suppose I can't talk about that here.

Article still didn't say who ported the engine over, and as far as Unreal 4 goes, it depends if they keep it open source for the liscensees.  If it's open source, then it can be ported over, but without official support from Epic, it won't be an easy task.  Plus there's a reason why Epic isn't doing it themselves, my hunch is because they probably can't get everything running.  And about the last article, I know the Wii U is going to be a well made machine, I've been saying that this whole thread.  Nintendo is trying to balance power vs cost, which isn't a bad thing.
