Yeah, I agree that the tech is impressive, but how much of that will be perceived by the unsuspecting eye?
If Blue-ray struggled to capture the interest of the masses, why would luminous or UE4 as compared to previous implementations.
imho we've come to a point where these things will be super impressive, but it will be more and more difficult to please the human eye, and many changes will only be perceived by the most inspecting consumers.
My opinion though, and I agree I could be wrong. The Project Cars game looks absolutely incredible, fair. But that will be available on the WiiU, who knows how faithfully? We will see in a few months but I wouldn't be too surprised to see the WiiU handle it quite nicely. That would mean that we're getting to the point of photo-realism with just a little jump above the already very impressive HD twins (TLoU would say).
