What if that means it's all too late. I mean the HD twins remaining in the game despite a market leader (Wii) is a phenomenon we've only seen in gen 7 on both the portable and the home console front. Generally, in most other cases, it was dominated or be dominated. Do you think Sony can certainly co-exist as strongly alongside a leader? If so, for how many generations before devs and consumers will simply opt the market leader and do away with multi-console purchasing habits (like it was in the past)? I'm not saying one is better than another, I'm just saying that in the past it was win or lose, gen 7 was the exception, not the norm. |
Its not going to go back to that, remember how devs and publishers hated having to deal with Ninty in the past because of their crazy demands. But they had to deal wiht them because they were the only game in town. Same thing to a lesser extent with SOny. Publishers like to have multiple systems out their because that means they have more leverage, hell this gen alone SOny and MS were tripping over themselves to give money to these guys just to get exclusive DLC and some timed crap. Not even full on games, that never happened in the past, because there wa always a dominator and that dominator could set the standard
