Interesting stuff. I had heard rumours they were going to do this. I figure most of the software will still be gaming or engine related, maybe creative software for graphic design... at least at first. I imagine they'd then have the option of using something like Steam workshop so people's creations were open for people to view and possibly utilise.
Kinda like Deviant Art but with a direct link to the file.
