Problem is, if Nintendo took such a financial hit with a premature price cut, how does Sony will be affected with one too - especially since the Vita is obviously more expensive to make than a 3DS. It was Nintendo's first loss ever, and while they could take it, it was still a lot! Imagine if Sony loses the same (or more) on Vita's performance only + all the other losses in red divisions.
But it HAS to have one, I agree. It can't just be under 50% of its original forecasts, it would be catastrophic.
