Speed was fun at the time, and the surround sound during the crashing elevator scene gave me goosebumps.
The sparklers on the subway car sliding down the street were a good laugh too.
Jan de Bont really upped his game with Twister. I still use the big storm scene where The shining plays on the drive in theater to demonstrate the power of surround sound.
