I'm aware there's probably some other stuff I'm missing, but these seemed to be the main retail releases & I'm tired of typing it now anyway and heading off to bed, so I'm going to leave it here for now. If you spot any glaring errors, feel free to let me know.
My own personal thoughts on this:
- I wouldn't say there's a clear system seller among all the new games. The wild cards, in my opinion, are Black Ops Declassified & Playstation All-Stars. I'm not sure how much Assassin's Creed will do.
- I think the EA sports games - Madden & Fifa - are going to boost the system in the short term. The Fifa game already out has sold respectably for a system with as poor sales as Vita.
- Need for Speed could be another wild card. The PSP versions actually sold surprisingly well, and they were watered-down console ports. If this version is fully fledged, it could do some good figures in the long term.
- None of the PSP versions of these games had impressive first week sales, so I doubt we're going to see them for Vita either. Many of the early games had decent first year sales, but continued selling at a constant rate for the next 2-3 years.
- PSP had a period, November 2009, where it received tonnes of games at the same time. PSP sales increased at an average rate during the period, but the userbase was already at 53 million. Vita seems to be getting a similar drop of games, this time in October 2012. Will be interesting to see what all these titles do to the sales in the short term.
- Silent Hill & Ragnarok are going to do quite poorly, in my opinion.
