I would not, but I am not the world. My examples are the HD twins. They have 2-4 releases a month. Minimum. Japan gets or has been getting 4-6 3DS games a month. We are lucky to get 1 a month. I have kept all my Wii games, but I have not done the same with my 3DS. I still have Zelda, Kid Icarus and Mario Tennis. I play Kid Icarus occasionally. I traded Mario Kart 7 for Icarus. Probably a bad decision. The games are not in America yet. If someone were to buy it now instead of month one, then it would be worth it. As of right now I find myself waiting for the next game. I may even purchase Heroes of Ruin if it comes down to it. Which may not be a bad decision. First year gets weekely DLC updates. Like I said in my "Red Headed Step child thread", Japan and Europe is for some reason getting the gold and America is getting not much of anything. For those of you who bought the game this year or even at Christmas you are probably not too disappointed. You had to catch up with all the games that came out before you got it and the games that are currently coming out. As I said about the Vita up above. All the games together make it a worth while handheld. Mario Tennis was forgettable for me. So to me there was not a good game for about two months on the 3DS between titles. |
I thought I was the only one who thought Mario Tennis was meh. I could see your point about people who just got it the last Xmas or later, but then I woudl say; and dont take this the wrong way; thats your fault. No one made you buy the 3DS at launch or close to launch, you made an assumption that games would be falling in right and left, you were kinda wrong. Cant blame Ninty or 3rd parties for that. You can blame Ninty for region locking that might have eased your pain.
Your comparison to the consoles are not apt, they are consoles, they traditionally get more attention than the handhelds, i dont see why you would think that would change. There have been alot of games released in the US, now if any of those are worth a damn thats up for debate. Japan is 3DS country, and thats where its most popular so thats where most of the support will go and come from. Its aint great but thats the way it is.
I think we just have a different idea of what a portable should be. Im perfectly fine with only having bought 3 games for my 3DS hell i haven even opened KH yet, because I mostly use my portables when im out. and how much games am I going to play when am out? Ill probably get Mario and Luigis mansion when they released and thats it. Same thing with Vita, I only bought Ninja Gaiden, Gravity Rush and Uncharted. I'll probably be getting more games for it than 3DS but even then im already satisfied with both. I dont mean to be forward, but IMHO you're not doing it right, if you want that much releases why not just get the one of the consoles, which are more frequent?
