yeah, I think there are two major issues with it:  PRice and memory cards.  

Either keep the prices the same and include 16/32 gig cards with it, or lower the price of the console by 50 bucks and the cards by 50%.  Either way, paying 400 bucks to get the 3G model and the 32 gig card (the best version of the console) is as bad as a 600 dollar PS3 a launch.  it's a friggin handheld, people.  christicles on a cross.  sony, I love you and I got lucky getting mine, but your prices are too high.  LEarn to take a hit, you make most of your money on software sales anyway.  Act like it.  

That satement alone tells us that Sony hasn't learned one bit about releasing a new gaming device.
