In all honesty you need killer exclusive franchises to sell your system. COD and Assassins creed will be mostly played on consoles/PC. Theres a good chance they will be overlooked for the Vita. Same goes for Sly and PS all stars as they will be mostly bought for the PS3 as well.

While that's true, the 3DS survived thanks to Mario Kart, 3D Land and maybe OoT, and those games has it's console counterpart (except 3D Land which is a strange combination).

Even more, NSMB2 is the sequel to the one in DS, and MHTri is a re-re-release of a PsP game.

What I'm trying to say is that no necessesarily Vita needs exclusive franchises, the Asscreed game is a new one different from AC3, and CoD Vita I think it will be different too from the console version.

These games can help a lot the Vita, and I sure hope so. I want some healthy competition between the two handhelds.

Also, wasn't Ubisoft who cancelled Assasins creed 3DS because of the low sales of the console? How come they make Liberation for Vita? Strange, strange world :/

I don't think they dropped the 3DS game because of poor sales, I think that's just consumer speculation and a little ignorance on how the gaming industry works. Ubisoft probably dropped attempts at a 3DS game because of hardware limitations since AC3:Liberation is turning out to be a massive title utilizing the engine from AC3, it could simply be because the 3DS wasn't playing well with that engine and Ubisoft wanted that and didn't want to make something else. The Vita is also really easy to develop for, I'm not sure about 3DS though, but from everything I hear from developers development time is extremely short on Vita.

Maybe 3DS will get an Assassins Creed eventually, I think Vita just provided what Ubisoft was looking for at the time.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(
