Not with the way Vita is performing, it's selling poorly while being sold at a loss.

Yeah, everything points to Vita being sold at a profit or at worst break even, but with a disparency between wifi and 3g version, 3g being profitable since it adds a $1-$3 dollars to the production cost. People have, several times, tried to counter my claim but their data and support falls flat and continues to point towards slight profitabilty, as I like to call it. The only money Sony isn't making from Vita is making their R&D costs back, which they project to be made up in 3 years. Hopefully it doesn't take longer than that. It is good to see Sony release a system that isn't a money sink in order to establish a market...though I guess it wouldn't be a bad idea except for they are trying to get their financials in order and can't be taking massive losses just to create an install base.
