It doesn't matter how good or bad the NSMB2 launch is perceived. I think the DD numbers might be pretty high with being sold in stores and stuff. Also, the game is not very big and it's one of those games you want on your 3DS all the time. But what matters now is that Nintendo just launched another steady source of money for years to come and with the digital option it's almost 100% pure profit.
