I'll take the rational possibility #2 for the win.  It would seem that the Wii is going to have the fastest up and down of any console ever.  It skyrocketed immediately and looked to potentially break every sales record ever... then 3 years went by and it jumped off a hypothetical cliff.  It may barely pass 100 million units, but that'll be all she wrote.

OK, turns out that all 4 online retailers that were listed in this "article" all have new consoles ready for ship.  Well, this thread was a waste...
