I'm not surprised. Just about every Serbian i've met was pretty anti-nato/EU and super pissed about Kosovo. I think the UN bid was based a lot more on politician choice then it was the will of the people. Which isn't that different from a few EU nations.
As for closing the doors on the darker parts of their countries histories without acknowledging it...
it's no big surprise.
The Japanese don't recognize the rape of Nanking.
The Turks haven't ever accepted the Armenian Genocide.
The US didn't apolgogize to Native Americans or for slavery until 2009.
I believe many nations in the EU have never apologized for the slave trade.

How is Kosovo War a ''dark part'' of history ?
|
It wasn't the kosovo war that was the dark part of history. It was the ethnic cleasing before it, which is why the war occured and Kosovo was made independent with help of NATO.
Which I'm sure you know, and probably just deny having ever existed in the first place.

Why and when do you think KLA was formed?
|
Oh, the less popular "ethnic cleansing is ok because they had some terrorists in there" arguement.
Still not one really worth argueing against.
|
And by ethinic cleansing im guessing you mean Racak hoax, right? lol
|
So we're back to denial. Which is more normal in such cases. If you ask the Sudanese there hasn't beeen any ethnic cleansing there either. Just "counterterroism" measures and "fabricated propaganda."
Hell, there are still a lot of people in Japan who think the US made up the Rape of Nanking completely.

How are we back to denial ? I never denied anything. Both sides committed ethnic cleansing. The difference is, the side that started it first, did it a lot more (and still did it afer war), and refused any kind of diplomatic negotiations is the side the which is ''rewarded'' with a new country, given almost full power over the region as well as a full military support and protection, and other side got its bridges, trains and hospitals bombed, as well as having its sovereignty and international rights taken away and YOU are gonna tell me how it was ''our'' dark history'' ? And btw, why is that Thaci is given a presidency to his ''country'' and Milosevic had to be imprisoned ? Oh, right, because Americans and EU give 2 shits about actual justice. And what was NATO 's response to serbian ethnic cleansing ? Well, it was bombing of our military assets at first (and occasional TV station and chinese embassy here and there), but when that didn't work out, they started bombing and killing civilians. So you see, ethnic cleansing IS ok when you have ''some terrorists'' down there, as long as the West is doing it.
