Crysis goes Platinum (Million Seller)

Have you played Half-Life 2? Or Far Cry for that matter? I thought both were leagues ahead in gameplay and drive.
Crysis is the most "unfreeroaming" sandbox game ever made and feels (and indeed is) every bit as restrictive as most FPS'.
