Eurogamer Review (Translated):

The intent of the first New Super Mario Bros. seemed clear from the title. New Super Mario Bros.: two-dimensional platforms, mushrooms, flowers, coins, the exercise of nostalgia was strong and the game ended up being solid enough, but lacked, it looks better now from a distance, an extra brilliance that got differentiate a little too literally a new Super Mario Bros. . Now to New Super Mario Bros. 2, which at first glance could pass for a continuation of the original DS conformist, is a bit on the same: another title that would be appropriate is New New Super Mario Bros., because it makes with the first a bit so this in turn wanted to do with the original NES.
The main game is the catalyst and the structure that we all hope: Princess Peach is kidnapped and have to go castle after castle by following his trail, traversing worlds and beyond levels. We navigate each world with a map that makes direct reference to Super Mario Bros. 3; overcome each level moving and jumping, and send the fees of two-dimensional Mario. There are two things that make New Super Mario Bros. 2 highlight: the extraordinary level design and controls sweetest.

New Super Mario Bros. 2 is a fun game, and not only that, but that it is a game whose development seems to have been fun. It shows that people who undertook to make the screens had a good time: they are creative and constantly get surprised. Much of its appeal lies in the sheer pleasure of jumping, which speaks well of a platform game. Even when you retrieve items from Super Marios above, with special emphasis on the 3, tend to give them a twist that adds a much appreciated cool, something that did not quite make the first New Super Mario Bros. The level design reminds me a lot at Yoshi's Island, so imaginative, fascinating and full of magic.
They have also found the sweet spot in the controls. This we get along in the former, but this time has a major plus: they have achieved the exact speed and inertia for all actions (jump and run, of course, but also when to fly or climb fences) essential for the other big news of the game is held. I speak, yes, the hyperbolic number of coins that come our way at every level.
If anything marks the character of New Super Mario Bros. 2, that something is coins. They hold our lives, but also marking the records of each level, we share in the cooperative multiplayer, which serve very good score in the extra mode named Gold Rush, also are what determine the ultimate objective the game: to get a million coins, when it unlocks something still very secret but apparently worth it. In my game, to give you the idea, got about 30,000, I spent almost the entire game twice (with a second lap above, dedicated to get coins star) and one of three secret worlds, so get a million appears to be complicated.

We support, thankfully. One is the co-op, where we can share the main game with a friend. We have lives together and coins are multiplied by two, so be coordinated to achieve the best results is important. Another is Gold Rush, an additional mode that adds a slight variation to the normal structure of the game: we have three random levels, 99 seconds and a life, and we must try to overcome by getting the highest number of coins. It is designed to add another layer to the game arcade, encouraging us to improve our performance in each level to maximize the coins we get and reach the top of the flagpole at the end, achieving a multiplier that doubles our score. In both modes, the coins are added to the total score, which is to reach one million (a little) easier if you squeeze the game at all.
The step in the graphic, coming into the technical side, is minimal: it is true it could be a Nintendo DS without any problem, but we must praise a 3D effect (the gimmick of the DS) that neither tired nor angry, and raised base seems better in general: blurs games work very well, even better still on the screen of the new 3DS XL. The music, though the line is light, positive and surprisingly catchy, does not stop to take root.
Taking New Super Mario Bros. 2 as the spin-off that is (a shot of nostalgia, a handshake with the classic platforms), is easily one of the most enjoyable games of the current catalog of Nintendo 3DS. It's two steps ahead of New Super Mario Bros. in almost everything, and at least one above 3D Super Mario Land. Lovers of the platforms, Mario fans or not, will not be disappointed at all, it's a happy game, amazing, fun. After gorging on this subset New (we have seen four in a short time), a product might be expected too lazy and without ambition: it is good to see that has not happened, and have managed to recover the true essence of their old platforms Instead of settling for just move the sprites drawn in three-dimensional models.

9/10

Meristation Review (Translated):

The Worst

Extremely continuity, nothing original or exciting if you come from another topic.

Gold Fever have worked even better at levels designed for this mode only instead of recycling the conventional manner.

Complete for the first time is too easy.

The rhino wheel acting as head of the towers.

The Best

Fluidísimo, colorful, dynamic and vibrant. Mario pure side.

Knows how to combine accessibility with occasional pure twisted challenge for the most demanding.

Conceived and well designed levels.

Find all the Star Coins and secret worlds is a challenge.

The Golden Flower, a great idea

Also, this part I wanted to point out:

"A tangible novelty resides in the heads of tower blocks an elongated wheel rhino heads that spit fireballs [...] What could have been a great idea and a breath of fresh air to the bosses is over being the easiest part of the game and insipid, a bad idea that does not know where it comes from "WTF?! Really the editor has not played Super Mario World?
