You make it sound like it's super hard. The EVE fanfest is an EVE gathring for a few days. The devs personally take you and go bar crawling with people who want to go bar crawling. There is an overwhelming amount of players in EVE who know people that work at CCP.

yeah but i meant more like "real friends" or at least someone from school or so. i know iceland has still few hundred k inhabitants^^

So goign out to drink with someone for two or three nights in a row is now not "real friends?"

not not really if it was only because of a festival and they don't really care about you after that
