It can't do below $70 Million

don't buy the doomed talk

Last weekend was deflated remember.

Todays drop was a bit harsher than expected, but I put that to discount tuesdays making Tuesdays drop less than expected...so it evens out in the end.

Think we'll get a $79 Million 2nd weekend.

Below the 70 million mark is possible if the TV ads don't return on Friday and the media keeps constantly talking about the shooting in colarado. I did predict a 215 million opening weekend however the shootings took a big toll on the saturday and sunday collections and around 10% of the Friday collections as well. However if it doesn't do better than the Dark Knight in its second weekend then there is no way Dark Knight Rises can cross the 500 million mark domestically all thanks to one idiot!

I believe that anyone that had the intention to see this movie will eventually go see it. If it still falls short of TDK then I can't say it was all because of the shootings. As great as the movie is plenty of people are dissapointed that their favourite Superhero only comes out for about 15min tops (in a 2hr 45min flick). If that sentiment keeps spreading I don't see this movie cracking the $500mil mark imo.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1345836/  I don't think too many people are upset about the film...and Batman is their for much more than 15 min
