Nice article I read (in magazine form) while having a haircut. I have fond memories of those games. All those guys were killers. Each person on that team (excluding Laettner) was a born winner and had the drive and passion not just to play well, but to do everything it takes to win.

Even though nowadays, there are a lot of extremely talented players, no team can ever compete with the guys on the original dream team. It's not about talent really. Skill can only get you so far. There's nobody more persistent to win than Magic, Michael, Bird, Barkley, etc.

You can make the argument that the 2012 Olympic team may be (I don't think so) more talented than the 1992 one, but if they played together, 1992 will destroy 2012 simply because of absolute winning desire and experience. Among the members of 2012, only Kobe and Lebron possess that kind of quality. 1992 had 11 guys who had it.

(I just wanted to discuss)
