Because these are the games that people are waiting for. Mario3dland is on pace to hit where Mario 64 DS made it to in sales. It needs that push along with a handheld that people actually want. Big is better. Mario Kart 7 by itself was not going to do anything. I just hope that NSMB 2 is not so different that it pushes some away from purchasing it.

I didn't mean software sales. The 3DS is barely outselling the PS3, while its predecessor was consistently outselling the PS2 by a good margin. I'm just saying it may be worth the few years of waiting to see if the release of a few more key franchises can propel the 3DS to the DS' success.
