I don't know, you tell me. lol, what else is there? All the complication with religion and such. People; atheists, rather, seem to think God is something that is 100% associated with religion. So, if they don't see fit to follow a religion, then, God, must... not exist... not the case at all..
Some believe in aliens, just about everyone believes there's consciousness. But, you can't prove either one. Something as... intangable as consciousness... How do you explain it.. Sorry, I can't go any deeper into that subject.
People can find out the secrets of the unknown, but... It's kinda like the shoe in monopoly figuring out that it's a playing piece in a game, and then, finding out all the rules to the game before it's over.
