Well, if Valve makes a console with Apple......then you can just download them directly to your console.

Steam is awesome, but to be fair you can sell your hardcopy games for nearly the same price you paid. I like to own hard copies of games I like, especially Nintendo franchise games because those games are fun to play even when they are old.

Thats the great thing about Steam, the game is always with you and for the price you pay I doubt having a hard copy even matters. This is coming from a guy who is pro hard copy games. If I can get games at rental prices and keep them on a Steam account? Screw the hard copy lol.

I agree to an extent, but I still like owning hard copies of games I really like, even PC games.

However it's really nice owning a copy of Counter Strike and not having a working PC (I use linex) for years, then going on steam on a different computer and being able to download, install, and play that game. It's like you can't loose games anymore.

I think the most important thing in terms of saving money is moderation. I'm the type of guy to buy games when I see a sale, bu I don't always play them right away. In fact a lot of the 360 games I own, I bought 3 years ago or more and just haven't played, and now they are much cheaper to buy and sell. Same with Steam, you can buy a bundle of games, but will you really sit down and play them?

Moderation is key, If you control what you buy on consoles, wait for sales, and sell the games on ebay, gaming couple be cheaper then as if on steam. However steam is a much easier solution because you don't have to sell your games and it's much easier and more frequent to check for sales.
