I think that's what it would look like. |
So I guess we have the following:
- Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation
- Call of Duty: Declassification
- LittleBigPlanet
- New Little King’s Story
- Silent Hill: Book of Memories
- Smart As
- Soul Sacrifice
So of those games we have a sequel (New Little King's Story) to a game that sold ~260,000 copies. A game in a franchise in which the last couple of installments have pretty much completely bombed (Silent Hill). Another game in a declining franchise (LittleBigPlanet) in which the last installed sold about half the previous one. Smart As and Soul Sacrifice which to be honest I don't see as million sellers or making any real impact at all.
That leaves spinoffs Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation and Call of Duty: Declassification as the big Vita exclusives this year. I'm not sure about AC3 but considering they've shown no gameplay for Declassification or even given a release date should worry some people about the possibility that it could become a rushed ~70-75 Metacritic game. Also the fact that major installments of those franchises are coming to consoles might keep fans of those series there instead of jumping onto Vita.
The second half the year is going to be make it or break it for Vita so it'll be interesting to see what happens.
