It's good that you have a time-line thought out. Creating an actual world engrosses both you and the reader more while writing/reading.

Anyways, we can't really reflect on it without reading the actual story first. If you want you can post an excerpt, a short one (so not to run into any risks like A203D said).

Quick note, that's REALLY nit-picky and you can completely ignore if you want: The "First Men" thing sounds odd, especially considering that this is SciFi. I mean, it sounds so much like high fantasy I want to think of elfs and clerics instead of pseudo suns. It also kinda hints that they were replaced by some other kind of people, instead of just staying on earth and dying/becoming colonists themselves. It's kinda like calling the English "first men" because they decided to stay in England...

actually that was intentional , the reason for that, is after the flood, most of the data on humans and their origins have been erased or drowned which is why the timeline has a "X" and "??" and not all info is actually true, so the colonists just call us "The first men", and because each colony came from a different backdrop, and then lived away from the other colonies, they pretty much forgot about the history of the countries and nations, kinda like how we ourselves have very limited knowledge on say , the ancient egyptians , but at the same time we keep discovering things among their ruins, they the harvesters keep discovering more documents, also reason why I tried to act dumb about "Wood" and "Oil" stuff that would be irrelevant in the future that everyone would forget eventually

Aye, I got that part. I'd personally call them the "Lost Men" because they're all dead and mysterious. Fits with the Black Planet theme, too.

What I meant with the England analogy is that it would be odd to call them "first" because they stayed in merry ol' England while the colonists went to the new world. Even if catastrophe hit England and all the English died and its histoy gone, they're not really "first" of anything, really, they're just gone - and no one replaced them for them to be first of anything. It's my view on the particular way to name it.

How far are you into the story?
