Agreed that the fan picked up the HD collection stead. I too will pick it up once it costs aroudn $30AUD (atm $77AUD). Full retail game here is around $90-$110 (higher end of this range is rare these days)
It was jsut amazing though that the 3D aspect of the game was originally a wow factor then it fizzelled.

Couldnt you say the same for the 3d feature period?? Can only speak for myself but it fizzled for me before i even got the 3DS

in a way you could if the 3d only creats a 3d effect that does not impact on how you move in a game.
as an example so far, the only game I really use the 3d on is the mario game. and that is only because i discovered a few times on one of the levels where you jump across clouds, i kept hitting the one above me and falling to my death. Then when i finally turned the 3d on I noticed it was almost directly above me and i had to jump around it to the other cloud first.
