I'm no expert on 'sustained boosts' but I'd say a force that droped the PS360 gap from 8m to nearly 3m in a matter of months counts as a sustained boost.

Predictions were made for massive boosts that would continue, didn't happen.  I'll find the thread later.

?? The year before the Slim, 2008, the ps3 sold just over 10m units. The year the Slim released, 2009, were nearly 3m higher than 2008. And the following year, 2010, sales were 1m higher than 2009. Sales never dropped back down. The ps3 saw a steady increase from that point....a 'sustained boost' if you will. I could use 2011 also, but that year had its own price cut. Anyway, How long of a boost are you talking about?
