Contenders
3DS
-Currently at 4.92m YTD.
-2D Mario and XL coming soon.
-DS brand historically performs well on holidays.
PS3
-Currently at 4.66m YTD.
-Remodel and price cut probably coming soon. Entry model at $179.
-Not as much of a holiday-friendly console, but it may gain a previously untapped market with casual friendly games, cut and remodel.
X360
-Currently at 3.48m YTD.
-Halo 4, bundles and $99 Xbox deals. No price cuts rumoured so far.
-Performs extremely well on holidays as of late.
I give the other consoles 0% chances, but I'll include them in the poll regardless.
My opinion: Before the PS3 remodel rumours 3DS would've been a given, but now PS3 has more of a chance. I'll still go with 3DS though. Unless there is an Xbox 360 cut I don't see it outselling PS3 for the year this time, though it may outsell it for the holiday season.
