Why would anyone compare a game that cost $140k to develop vs a game that cost $20 million + $20 in advertising? Angry Birds made $70m+ in pure profit as of the end of last year with "just" 645m DLs. That is a over 400,000% profit margin for fk sake.
Also Dear Esther is a game which cost less than $100k and turned a profit in 6 hours of going on sale. It's an "art game" with no real gameplay and no payed advertising that is why 250k in sales is impressive. There is no need the compare it to a AAA game.
