For a old Nostalgic gamer, the PSP version is much better simply because I'm pretty sure majority of FFIV players rather have a visual enhanced 2D form of the game, if you enjoyed blocky 3D Semi PSX graphics sure I guess. Every person I've talked to who had played and owned both versions actually liked the 2D remake over the 3D remake (what platforms it was on didnt matter).

Also better script, script doesnt matter for me especially considering the fact that I have played Final Fantasy IV about 6-7 times already on all possible platforms (except for the GBA version which I will be doing shortly so that will make it 7-8 times). I know the storyline by heart, there comes a time where a pack of text means little compared to visual changes especially when you played a game over a certain amount of times.

Now lets see the additions/differences for the NDS
-Augments feature, I never even bothered using them, I find it as irrelevant as the PSP FFIV Complete collection's Prologue feature. New Game Plus is a nice feature I do admit that.
-The party switching system from the Advance version is gone, as well as the new equipment and dungeons. --> Related to the NDS version, the PSP version had the GBA features in them, so adding more length to the overall game. Along with that the ability to use a different party than Kain, Rosa, Cecil, Rydia and Edge is present on the PSP version yet not available on the NDS version.
-Equipment options have been changed. Rosa is now the only character who can equip bows, Cecil can equip new elemental knives found in Troia, and Edge cannot equip Claws.  -> Yet another factor in the NDS version, completely different from the GBA/SNES versions AND the PSP version.
-A retranslated script incorporating many concepts originally left out, such as Zemus's desire for the Lunarians to populate Earth, and information regarding Kain's father. There's also a handful of new events, including a flashback to when Cecil was born, and how Golbez fell under Zemus's control.-

^ The reason why this was taken out of FFIV PSP was because it was mentioned/answered in FFIV After Years on the PSP.

Now for the PSP differences/additions

-A gallery and bestiary option for all games is included.
-The player can switch between the DS or SNES versions of the music.  (The NDS version of the music was horrible)
-The post-game content from the Advance version has been retained, as well as party swapping.
-Like Final Fantasy VI, players can select a new wallpaper for menus and dialogue boxes. There are a maximum of four choices.
-In the vein of the DS version, an auto-battle feature has been included and can be activated if the player pushes Select during a fight. It also speeds up the battle animation. < This is a VERY important feature.

I didnt include the graphics mentioning between the two versions or the fact that the PSP version had the Prologue/After Years included with it.

I can already tell you, from what I read in the differences, I'm going to enjoy the GBA version alot more than the NDS version, the NDS version is in the same league as the PS1 version imo.

And yes, the presentation was far superior imo for the PSP version over the NDS imo, also saying "Really.....", stop acting like a troll already.

Just because I provided my opinion with a list of my own experience (this isnt a give or take, its valuable experience)  as a response to the other poster's post where it seemed like the user said the PSP barely had any RPGs, doesnt mean you have to jump the "Lets Defend this game because its on a Nintendo platform" bandwagon. I honestly did not say anything bad about the NDS, yet when I say my opinion of a game on the PSP, you jump the gun. You seriously need to let go, crying over the fact that I said a PSP version of a game is superior to the NDS version. Matterfact you need to let go of all that negativity against non-nintendo platforms, its already bad enough we have to look at ranting threads from you about how people degrade a system that hasnt even come out yet.

Your last sentence, I've had more experience with RPGs than most people, I'm pretty sure my word is better than yours, but I do admit, there's still a couple of RPGs out there that I have yet to play and that others (who may of played more than me) have more experience than me on it. The games I listed above were all the RPGs I played on both systems.

Also calling me out on going off topic yet you join in going off topic, think before you post next time sir.

Since you want to be on topic about Steam.

@ post your about finding cheaper games on other platforms - lol, why buy a used, possibly scratched/chipped copy of a game that probably would look bad on a HD tv (unless you have a SDTV but even than would look bad) when you can play it on a PC with better resolution and for new.

I've seen so many recent games going on cheap price on Steam, games that I still see for 49.99 and 59.99 at retail and online stores. Do you even have Steam?

A pre-owned Fable 3 on best buy (yes because I dont go/look at pawn shops to buy stuff) costs 19.99, a new one costs 29.99, yet on steam as we speak its going for $12.49. I consider Fable 3 as a recent game (definition of recent game to me is any game that came out within the last 2-3 years), anything that came out within a year would be considered new to me.

Which comes to another example, Max Payne 3 which was released like last month? 59.99 on online and retailer stores. 29.99 on steam few days ago. $40.19 as we speak.

Steam has been around for a long time and its gonna be around even longer, more people should check out steam especially the fact that technology is getting better and cheaper (in regards to PC parts that were expensive few years ago) that you can easily play a game that may of came out in early-mid 2000s and equally enjoy it (if not more) than on a outdated platform.

P.S. I would prefer if you dont quote me again and if you do, not even gonna bother replying to you on this post or any other post, the fact that you tried trolling me on my wall and now this, simply unacceptable. You're just full of bias'd hatred against non-nintendo systems and when someone states a critical opinion over a game/hardware of Nintendo origin, you simply jump the gun and defend it as if its God's Gift on Earth.

So please in respect to our friends and the staff team, dont even bother replying, just read this post of mine and have a nice day.

This is not even worth it.
