People bought the Wii for the gimmick in passing. Wii Sports just so happened to come with it. Nintendo has been doing this for years ever since the first bundle with Duck Hunt. I want to see the sales of Wii Sports outside of bundles.

Wii Sports wasn't bundled in Japan, and it has an attach rate of 25% - that is, one in four Japanese Wiis has a copy of Wii Sports bought for it.

EDIT: Hmmm... looks like this had already been addressed. I guess I should make it a point to read the rest of the thread before replying, just to make sure I don't repeat somebody else.
