We've all done our financial dance with Gamestop. I've seen my roommates Steam account for about a year now and the sales have always been good, but the summer sale just took things to a breaking point for me. Yes there are second hand games at Gamestop, but my point also was that even if you add up a Gamestop sale for the same games with a Steam sale, you'll still end up saving yourself quite a bit of cash. I got the Crysis Collection and the 2k Collection for seventy dollars on Steam, thanks to a friend here reminding me that I dont have to have the powerful PC yet and I can still get the games. Just getting two Crysis games on Xbox Live would set me at $40-$50. Bioshock Borderlands Duke Nukem Forever (Yeah, I know) Spec Ops Online Civilization The Darkness 2 Crysis Crysis 2 Crysis Wars LOL...thats just madness. |
Yeah, that is awesome. :) You could get something similar on ebay (2nd hand bundles), but it's usually not the games you want and you have to pay for shipping.
So, what are you going to do for Halo and WiiU games now that you have your multiplats/PC-XB titles settled?
Also, it's good to point out that you're playing these on a good but not top-end PC, so the price is even reduced there. Plus a PC is multi-purpose, so there you have it.
So the PS/PC comment was just that you needed the PS exclusives and the PC offered all the other non-PS exclusive SW you need. I get it. There will obviously be some non-PS exclusives you will want, but you're okay with getting them 2nd hand or later at a lesser price.
