Well, if Valve makes a console with Apple......then you can just download them directly to your console.
Steam is awesome, but to be fair you can sell your hardcopy games for nearly the same price you paid. I like to own hard copies of games I like, especially Nintendo franchise games because those games are fun to play even when they are old.
