Bungie bought themselves out of Microsoft.  Could the same not happen here?

They probably could, they might need to take out a loan (or find an investor) to do it but I can't see why they couldn't. Tho the Michael Morhaime did say they were comfortable working under other people and have bad memories of living from project to project in the early days, tho considering how many money making devices they have at the moment I don't see how that would really be an issue. 

The fanboy dream that would never happen would be Gabe helping them buy themselves out and partner up lol
