That's 1 billion versus 210 million for Mario.  (probably closer to 250 now, but my point still stands)

I would say more people associate Angry Birds or other mobile games with gaming nowadays, because the casual audience is so massive now.

Does that make Angry Birds the face of gaming? I thought not.

I stand by my argument, that is "the face of gaming" is something completely subjective and their isn't really a difinitive character.

Anyway, this discussion is happening on my wall so get your ass there if you wanna talk more because we're taking this thread off the rails.

Don't even mention Angry Birds besides Mario. The majority of those 1 billion downloads were for free and how much does an Angry Birds game cost, like 5 Bucks? Mario sells hundreds of millions of copies for full price.

Mario is the face of gaming. Nothing comes even remotely close.
