if you just go by appearence yes. They are trying quite a few new things with the game from what we have seen already. This isn't even being 'creative' ..they are just using a different already existing comic book line.


Like what? They added Multiplayer, the most cliche thing to do nowadays. When a game goes beyond the trilogy mark it must take steps to refresh to formula. Ascension has the same character( its time to retire Kratos), Same setting...it just time for something new. I can promise Ascension will be the last GoW that wont face backlash for being more of the same.

Did you see the multiplayer and read the details? It's a very well made MP that is more comparable to power stone games. MP is a huge risk for this franchise...something people will be very skeptical about but they took the risk anyways. doing prolgues is also a cliche thing you know...

so has batman changed? GoW IS about Kratos.....his personality may change but at least for now you can't blame them for keeping one of the most iconic characters in the history of PS. also their last game is the highest selling hack and slash in the history of gaming. The only way they can have a new character is a reboot or a retake on the whole game (which isn't what this batman game will be doing either..it's just a new setting)...and if that happens it will happen during ps4 not ps3.GOD:A is not the same setting either >_>

They changed combat, added time freezing for combat AND movement...new enemies. That's all we know for now and we will learn more with time as well. Going back to another comic book series with the same hero is NOT a risk at all...not even close to adding MP for GOW

MP is not a step or forward or back.  As long as the main story is good ppl will ignore shitty multiplayers in a series not known for it as opposed to CoD where its the main attration.

You keep comparing GoW to Batman, but Batman has evolved. Batman games have been developed since the 80's and has had multiple game design mechanics with metroid Batman being the current which hasnt even seen a 3rd installment.  Go has 6 installments in 7 years and remain more of the same,.
