It may not be much, but subtle changes are enough for people like me (the fans) to be interested. In fact, we'll take anything with new locations and bosses.

I'm not saying you're completely wrong btw. What I would like to see is God of War based on Egyptian or Norse mythology. A new trilogy with someone who resembles Kratos (for the fans, just change the colour of his tattoos :P) and the brand name God of War (for the sales) will be perfect. Everyone wins.
